Only by chemical etching it is possible to obtain plates with permanent readable inscriptions and symbols, long time resistant against stress and rubbing, weather, solvents, detergents, any kind of solutions (also acid), saltiness a.s.o.
This machining creates a thickness difference between etched and protected parts.
